Apex Wild Frontier Season 1 Launches Tomorrow

Season One for Apex Legends was announced earlier today, Wild Frontier will be available tomorrow March 19th at 10am Pacific Time. (1pm EST, 12pm CST) Further patch notes should go live in the morning about an hour before update.

What to Expect from Wild Frontier

There doesn’t seem to be any sort of visible story for what Wild Frontier actually is or what it means, unlike Fortnite who produces an ever lasting story throughout each of their seasons with events that change the story as players progress through the battle pass. What we do know is with the launch of season one tomorrow, players will start their journey earning rewards with or without an Apex Legends Battle Pass. That is right, even if you don’t want to throw money at Apex right now, you will still get some free awards which include a Wild Frontier Legend Skin, 5 Apex Packs, and 18 Wild Frontier Stat Trackers. These free items are available for everyone playing Apex, even those of you who decide to grab a battle pass.

 Apex Battle Pass

The Battle Pass will work just like most of the battle royale games out there featuring this type of platform. The more you play, the more rewards you will receive and as long as you snagged the Apex Battle Pass, you’ll have access to over 100 unique items throughout this first season. The Apex Battle Pass is only available through the Apex Legends in-game shop and you’ll have two options, the standard Battle Pass or the Battle Pass Bundle.

Apex Legends is available for free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Origin for PC. Season 1, Wild Frontier is a free update to Apex Legends and there is no purchase necessary to participate – Battle Pass purchases are for cosmetic upgrades only and will not boost any legend over the next, you are responsible for your own skill.

Battlefield V Enters Battle Royale Market

Just when you thought there were enough big names in the Battle Royale market, EA’s Battlefield V recently announced Firestorm, their version of Battle Royale which will be released on March 25th.

Battlefield V Firestorm was developed by Criterion Games in partnership with DICE. “Mix a shrinking playing field with trademark Battlefield elements such as team play, powerful vehicles, and destruction, and you get a battle royale so intense it’ll make your lips curl.” Players will parachute into the Firestorm map and will fight within a ring of fire that will shrink as the match progresses, following the same methods as other popular battle royale games with map shrinking storms and safe zones. Matches will consist of 64 players, 16 squads which will have access to all of your favorite Battlefield V elements. You will also have the ability to work together to secure objectives for chances to obtain better and rare gear…all on the biggest Battlefield map to date, Halvoy. These objectives operate similar to objectives found in the Conquest mode with some being fixed and others being random locations. All Firestorm matches will be tied to your Company and Battlefield V progression.

Firestorm will be available free for all current owners of Battlefield V editions on Playstation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
