Battle Pass FAQ

How do I buy the Battle Pass?

You can only purchase the Battle Pass within the in-game store using Apex Coins. If you need to grab some Apex Coins, you can purchase those within the in-game store as well.

What happens if I buy my Battle Pass late in the season?

You will retroactively receive all rewards up to your Battle Pass level. This means if you’re level 18 when you purchase the Battle Pass, you’ll unlock all rewards for every level up to 18 – and you’ll unlock those three extra Battle Pass skins.

Can I keep leveling my Season 1 Battle Pass after the season ends?

No, rewards available in the Season 1 Battle Pass can only be earned until the season is over. After it ends, you won’t be able to earn new Wild Frontier content.

Do I keep my rewards after the season ends?

Yes, you will keep every Battle Pass reward you’ve unlocked.

What if I don’t buy the Battle Pass? Can I still earn rewards for free?

Yes, you will still be able to earn some items free (not all). Items available to earn will be the Wild Frontier Legend skin (Octane), 5 Apex Packs, and 17 Wild Frontier stat trackers.

If I buy the Battle Pass, can I get the free rewards too?

Yup! Anyone who’s currently playing within Season 1 will be able to earn the free rewards.

New Apex Legend, Octane

We first reported leaks on the new Legend Octane back on March 5th and supplied you all with what his expected abilities were going to be and now it looks like we will have access to the new Legend when Season 1 of Apex Legends, Wild Frontier kicks off later this morning.

Octane is a high-speed daredevil – if it doesn’t involve diving, leaping, plummeting, or racing, then Octane wants nothing to do with it. Always the life of the party, Octane truly believes winning the Championship isn’t enough…not if you didn’t cheat death at least twice to get there.

Octane Abilities:

    • Passive: Swift Mend

      • While not taking damage. Octane restores health over time.
        • 1 health healed every 2 seconds.
    • Tactical: Stim

      • Move 30% faster for 6 seconds. While active, Octane is affected less by attacks that cause slowdown. 2 second recharge.
    • Ultimate: Launch Pad

        • Deployable jump pad that catapults users through the air. Takes 90 seconds to recharge.
Octane costs 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins

We reported yesterday that all players of Apex will receive some free rewards for playing and one of these looks like a Wild Frontier-themed outfit for Octane. One of the biggest things the community seems to be mentioning is a possible problem with the hitbox for this Legend – he appears to have a small stature which would make it a bit harder to hit compared to the bigger guys. However, we reported that Respawn would be tweaking those hitboxes for all Legends making each legend balanced for fairness. Since Apex Legends launched, players have only been able to use the available Legends with the two additional purchasable Legends Mirage and Caustic, so it will be interesting to see another Legend out in battle.

Launch pads have already been seen around the map and have been used by players i an intentional effort put through by Respawn development team for players to get a feel for what these Launch Pads will do. Check out this video from Monkeysniper on youtube to see what you can look forward to.

Octane will launch with Season 1 later today, 10am Pacific time.
